Mesquite Fire and Rescue teams go the extra mile by annually putting on the “Boot Drive” fundraiser in the “fight against cancer” on Oct. 3 during Mesquite Night Out. They have been committed to this cause for over 10 years — all monies stay local to assist patients with their cancer- related needs. Mesquite Cancer HELP Society says, “ Thank you to all firemen who volunteered and those who bought the countless T-shirts to make this event such a fabulous success!”
