Edwards Twins return to Mesquite for two shows

The Edwards Twins, who perform a high-energy Las Vegas-style review with impersonation and multiple costume changes, will return to Mesquite for two shows on April 17 at the Mesquite Community Theatre, 150 N. Yucca St.

The shows are scheduled at 2 and 7 p.m. Anthony and Eddie Edwards will perform songs dressed as Cher, Neil Diamond, Barbra Streisand, and Andrea Bocelli. They have recently added Olivia Newton John and Tom Jones to their act.

The Edwards Twins have been performing in Mesquite for a number of years, although this may be their last trip as Eddie is recovering from a heart attach that has curtailed their normal 300 shows to 50.

The Edwards Twins are performing in Sun City Summerlin on April 19, but Anthony told SCS Life, a monthly publication in Sun City Summerlin, that its possible the Florida-based duo may not return.

“We do not know if we will be coming back to Vegas or not at this point” after their April performance, Anthony said.

Anthony thanks fans for their support and reports, “Eddie is doing much better and nothing keeps him down. Not even a heart attack.”

He promises the twins “will never leave the stage, but just slow down a little.”

Ticket costs for the Mesquite show are $45 for reserved seats and $35 for general admission. Tickets are available at www.mctnv.com or at the box office Tuesdays and Thursdays between noon and 3 p.m.
