Carolyn Cameron Smith was born December 26, 1936 to Robert J and Ina MacKay Cameron. She attended the University of Utah and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. Upon graduation in 1959 she became a member of Phi Beta Kappa Society.

She returned to the U and got a Masters Degree in educational psychology in 1985. She taught school at Granger High for 21 years. She married Gerald Gundry in 1959, later divorced. She married Gerald D Smith on January 19, 1979. They were together for a wonderful 36 years of learning, laughing and loving. During those years they travelled all over the USA and also took thirteen cruises seeing as much of the world as they could while Carolyn’s eye sight was still good enough for her to see it. They lived in Manila, Utah for 24 years before moving to Mesquite, Nv. She was a school counsellor and Justice of the Peace in Manila for 2 years. They enjoyed boating, fishing and watching the wildlife in the forest.

She is survived by two step sons Jerry (Mary) and David (Janette) Smith and their families and one niece Carrie Kuo and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother. She will be cremated and her ashes buried at the Salt Lake City cemetery next to her beloved husband Jerry Smith.

She loved friends and socialising so she asks you to go to lunch with a friend and laugh and enjoy each other.
