Since 2009, VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System has contracted laboratory draw and testing services through a shared agreement with Mesa View Regional Medical Center for Veterans living in Mesquite and surrounding communities.
Through this agreement, Veterans could receive their labs at Mesa View Regional Medical Center without a prior VA Community Care consult. Due to a change in policy, a VA Community Care Consult is now required for Veterans to receive their labs at Mesa View Regional Medical Center.
Mesquite Veterans will now need to contact their VASNHS primary care provider and request that their labs be drawn at Mesa View Regional Medical Center. VASNHS providers will then put in a Community Care consult for their laboratory work. Once approved, VASNHS will reach out to the Veteran to let them know that they have been approved to walk-in during Mesa View’s laboratory hours (weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) to have their blood drawn.
Veterans should call Mesa View Regional Medical Center Laboratory at 702-346-8040 before arriving for their blood draw to ensure their order has been received.
