The notion that Democrats can’t be trusted with taxpayer money has pretty much become a truism in light of recent events.

There’s the ever-present joke of Obamacare being affordable and accountable. It is 100% unaffordable and suspiciously easy pickings for fraudsters.
Then came the Biden mess, where NGOs run by insiders ripped off taxpayer money in huge amounts — tens of billions of dollars — under the guise of doing good for COVID, climate change, world hunger, and foreign relations. Those recipients then gave big contributions back to Democrats. Hummm.
We’ve also seen how taxpayers in Minnesota have been taken to the cleaners thanks to the most incompetent governor in America, Gov. Tim Walz, above. (Sidebar: Can you believe he came within a whisker of becoming the vice president of the United States?)
The ugly details of the Minnesota fraud, in large part perpetrated by Somali immigrants, are just now hitting the mainstream news. Again, the fraudsters made big contributions back to Democrat officeholders. Trust me, it’s bad. Read more here.
As Nevadans are well aware, Democrats in California have virtually bankrupted the state’s healthcare system by giving illegal aliens free health care courtesy of California and U.S. taxpayers.
Now comes last week’s gem of alleged fraud from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Western District of Oklahoma.
The executive director of Black Lives Matter OKC has been charged with wire fraud and money laundering. It’s a sordid tale of stealing donated money and using it for personal gain. You can read the sickening press release in full here.

Here’s the headline: Tashella Sheri Amore Dickerson, above, (allegedly) took donations in the millions of dollars and spent the lion’s share of it on herself. That included lavish trips to Jamaica (for herself), out-of-control retail spending (for herself), thousands on groceries (for herself), a new car (for herself), and six real estate properties — wait for it — for herself.
Look, until we begin to see proof of competence and honesty, Democrats should never be left alone with taxpayer money. They just can’t be trusted to be good stewards.
If I’m wrong on this, prove me wrong.

You’re spot on Sherm. Sure’y there must be responsible Democrat politicians somewhere (Kentucky?) who could inculcate fiscal responsibility in the party. Otherwise we’d be better off with statist one-party rule like Russia, China, et al.
