The Witches Ball- A fun fundraiser 

The Virgin Valley Artists Association will be holding a Witches Ball fundraiser on October 21st with entertainment and fun Halloween activities. 

Dottie Golden is the Virgin Valley Artists Association President and the Committee Chair of the Witches Ball Committee.  

“The Witches Ball is a Halloween party for adults that will be putting the fun into a fundraiser,” Golden said. “Costumes are recommended but not required.” 

“ The Witches Ball is a fundraiser for the Virgin Valley Artists’ Association.” Witches’ Ball Committee Past President, Christine Picor said. “ This is the second annual and we hope to do it every year.  It’s for adults 21 and over and the entire community is welcome.  The ticket price is $35 online and $40 at the door.  A person can come into the gallery or order their tickets online.“

Golden said the entertainment includes:  Live music by Grant Gunn and Friends, The Virgin Valley Youth Players, Magic by Lynn Craven, and the Mosquitoes will perform. There will be a costume contest and a tarot card reader will be in her caravan-like area. 

Funds raised from the event will go towards VVAA General Funds to keep the lights on and the doors open, Golden said. 

Golden said they are in need of sponsors and volunteers. 

“Businesses or community members can sponsor an area for example; the buffet, the magician, the costume contest…etc,” Golden said. “ We will put a thank you poster next to the area sponsored and an announcement will be made. If it is a full sponsorship they will get two free entry tickets. This has been pretty successful so far. We do need volunteer helpers for setting up and cleaning up and TAM cardholders.”

“We are looking for sponsors for some of the events,” Picor said “ We need a contribution towards the buffet.”
