Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 182 calls this week:

July 14:
Stolen Vehicle: Officer received a report of a stolen vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
Traffic Stop: Officers conducted a vehicle stop for a traffic offense. Three adults were
issued a citation.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle: Officers located an unoccupied vehicle that was reported stolen overnight. The vehicle was recovered and released to family of the RO at his request.
Trespassing: Officer observed n female who was sleeping in a local park. Officer advised she could not be sleeping in the park. The subject became argumentative and refused to leave upon being read the trespass warning.
Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a traffic accident on private property where both drivers began back up at the same time and collided with one another.
Wanted Person: An adult male was taken into custody for an active bench warrant. He was booked
into the Mesquite Detention Center.
Trespassing: I responded to an incident at a local casino. A female was cited for trespassing and released with a court date.
July 15:
Traffic Stop: Officer conducted a traffic stop for a traffic offense. The driver was arrested on an active warrant.
Threatening: Officer spoke with a citizen regarding a threatening complaint.
Controlled Substance Problem: Officers arrested two adult females for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Traffic Stop: Detectives stopped a pickup truck for a traffic infraction. I responded and administered SFST for a possible DUI. Negative for DUI. Citation issued for no D/L and open container. One can warm/empty the second cold to the touch.
Theft: Report of theft from a Mohave Dr. residence.
Traffic Stop: Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. The passenger was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Wanted Person: adult female was taken into custody for an active bench warrant. She was
booked into the Mesquite Detention Center without incident.
Domestic Violence: responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. casino reference a domestic battery in progress. Investigation led to one person being taken into custody.
Traffic Stop: Officer initiated a traffic stop. Two males were arrested for drug related offenses.
July 16:
Found Property: A silver bicycle was turned into the police department as found property.
Welfare Check: Officers conducted a welfare check on an adult female. It appeared the female
was not at the residence.
Verbal Disturbance: Officers spoke with several juveniles at a local park. The juveniles agreed to
not use profanity in public places especially those with small children.
Suspicious Person: Officers secured an unsecured door for the electrical room of a local plaza.
Controlled Substance Problem: Officer located a male smoking marijuana in public. Subject was issued a citation and released with a court date.
Traffic Stop: A traffic stop was conducted for a minor traffic violation. The male driver was arrested for traffic related offenses and an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
July 17:
Agency Assistance: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd. residence on a report of a deceased person. One male was found deceased of apparent natural causes.
False Information: Mesquite Officers responded to a local business reference a possible domestic
dispute. An adult male was arrested and transported to the Mesquite Justice Facility.
Weapon Offense: An officer conducted a traffic stop for a moving violation. During the traffic
stop one male was arrested for possession of a short-barreled shotgun less than 18 inches.
Traffic Stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop for a registration violation. The driver was
issued a citation for open container of alcohol.
Trespassing: An officer responded to a Mesa Blvd. casino on a report of a trespassed female
refusing to leave property. One female was arrested for illegal possession of marijuana greater than one ounce.
Airplane Emergency: Officers responded to the airport in reference to a single aircraft accident. The male pilot of the aircraft was placed under arrest for flying an aircraft while under the influence of alcohol.
Hit & Run: Officer responded to a reported hit and run. The investigation is ongoing.
July 18:
Intoxicated Person: Officer responded to the lobby of the police department for a report of an
intoxicated male requesting to go to jail. Subject was taken into custody for contempt of court.
Hit & Run: An officer responded to an apartment complex on a report of a hit and run on an unattended vehicle. One female was cited and released for failing to report the accident.
July 19:
Wanted Person: Mesquite Officer arrested a male adult for warrants.
Abandoned Vehicle: An abandoned vehicle was located by a resident out in the desert. Owner was contacted and requested it be impounded until he could come pick it up.
Stab/Gunshot/Penetration: One adult female was transported to the hospital by paramedics for a suspected self-inflicted wound.
July 20:
Suspicious Vehicle: Officers located a suspicious male in the parking lot of a business. The male
was arrested for a felony warrant out of Las Vegas, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Suicidal Person: An officer spoke to a complainant in reference to suicidal comments made by an ex-spouse.
Wanted Person: An adult male was taken into custody for an active bench warrant. He was booked into the Mesquite Detention Center.
