December 14, 1911: The state and county elections passed off very nicely here on Dec 12. We were certainly treated fine by our county officials, for they sent us a box of nuts, games, candy and cigars, and, the best of all, paid for a big dinner for the voters. In the evening there was a dance for young and old.

Our district school has begun at last with a very competent teacher, Mr Greer, of Los Angeles, CA.

December 16, 1899: Washington County News: Littlefield. Prospectors with their meek and lowly companion, the burro, are a familiar sight around here at present.

Abe Bundy, Who has been working in DeLamar (Mine) for several months, has returned home. Peter Iverson, who has also been working away from home, is back again.

December 16, 1909:  Washington County news. Littlefield Another Great irrigation scheme to reclaim 100,00 acres being investigated., Messrs M.T. Burgess, W.C.Alexander and L.B.Elliot, all  of Salt lake City, arrived Wednesday night and will leave this afternoon for the “Narrows” of the Virgin River ( Where I 15 enters the Gorge) ,about 20 miles from St George, to ascertain the feasibility of making a storage reservoir there to irrigate about a 100,000 acres of land lying north of Littlefield.

December 18, 1910: Edward Knight of Littlefield, AZ has gone to Santa Clara UT on business.
