Some calls that Mesquite Fire and Rescue receives are not always included in the report, as a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our Fire and Rescue workers do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 48 calls this week:

Dec. 2:

Chest Pain: Rescues 11 and 32 responded to a report of chest pain. One patient was transported to the local hospital.

Sick Person:  Rescue 31 dispatched to the report of a sick person. One person signed out against medical advice.

Dec. 3:

Heart Problem:  Rescues 11, 32 and Engine 31 responded to a cardiac arrest. One patient was transported to the local hospital.

Fuel Spill:  Engine 31 responded to report of a fuel spill. Leak was controlled.

Dec. 4:

Domestic:  Rescue 11 responded to report of hemmorhage/lacerations. Patient signed out against medical advice.

Fire Alarm:  Engine 31, Rescue 11 and Chief 2 responded to report of a fire alarm. On arrival smoke detectors were found to be dusty and past their expiration date.

Inhalation:  Rescue 11 and Engine 31 responded to report of a Carbon Monoxide detector activation. Detector was found to have a battery needing replacement.

Dec. 5:

Vehicle Fire:  Rescue 11 and Engine 31 responded to a car smoking. Fire was extinguished. Overhaul was performed.  All units available.

MVA with Injury:  Rescue 31 responded to a multiple vehicle accident. One person reported injured. Person refused treatment and signed refusal form.

Dec. 6:

Convulsions:  Rescue 11 responded for a person having convulsions. Patient transported to St. George UT.

Dec. 7:

Mental Person:  Rescue 11 dispatched to the report of a psychiatric. One person was transported to the local hospital.

Dec.8:

Unknown Problem:  Rescues 11 and 31 responded to a report of an unknown problem. It was accidental medical alarm activation and there was no patient.

Abdominal Pain:  Rescue 11 and Truck 11 dispatched to the report of abdominal pain. One person was transported to the local hospital.
