Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 166calls this week:

Nov. 4:

Property damage, non -vandalism: Officers responded to a residence  in reference to  a property damage. A report was taken and the case is currently being investigated.

Property damage, non -vandalism: Officer responded to a business in reference to property damage. A report was completed.

Wanted person: Officers located a male that had a warrant out of the Mesquite Municipal Court. One adult male was arrested for the warrant.

Theft: Officers responded to an alarm at a local car wash. Investigation shows two individuals attempt to gain access into the vending machine. Investigation is ongoing.

Theft: Officer took a report of a stolen personal speaker.

Reckless driver: Officer was dispatched to Interstate 15, south bound for a reckless driver. Upon locating the vehicle by the description given by the reporting person, the driver was found to be impaired and was taken into custody for DUI.

Nov. 5:

Controlled substance problem: Security at a Mesa Blvd. casino called the Police when they observed three individuals in van acting suspicious. Upon investigation it was discovered three individuals using illegal drugs. All suspected were arrested in the incident.

Controlled substance problem: Officers responded to a residence reference a suspicious person. One adult male was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Missing person: Officers responded on a missing person call. A report was completed.

Traffic accident w/ injuries: Officers responded to a traffic accident on the roadway involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported.

Stolen vehicle: Report taken of stolen vehicle out of another agency which was recovered in Mesquite.

Wanted person: Officers responded to the Mesquite Detention Center reference a wanted person. One adult male was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant.

Nov. 6:

Theft: Individual(s) entered a garage to steal property at a local residence. They were scared off when the home alarm sound. Investigation is still on going.

Abandoned vehicle: Officers responded to Lincoln County reference an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was towed by a local company.

Controlled substance problem: Prescription pills were collected from the drug take back boxes.

Wanted person: Officers responded to a Hillside Dr. residence on a reported verbal dispute. One adult male was arrested for multiple warrants out of Mesquite Municipal Court.

Trespassing: Responded to hospital on a combative subject. Staff had medically cleared the subject who then became disruptive and refused to leave.

Traffic stop: Detectives conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a registration violation. An adult male passenger was arrested for drug paraphernalia, and possession of stolen property.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Dispatched to private property non-injury accident. On arrival, vehicles had been moved from point of impact. Drivers stated both were waiting to exit the McDonald’s parking lot onto Mesa Blvd at the westernmost exit. D1 began to pull onto Mesa then noticed a truck approaching so he backed back onto the parking lot, striking V2. Damage to V2 included paint transfer, dented metal work, scratches, and a cracked headlight cover on the left front. Damages to V1 included scratches and paint transfer on the right rear bumper. Driver completed and exchanged driver exchange forms; nothing further.

Nov.7:

Sexual assault: Detectives investigated a report of a sexual assault of a child.  Detectives located the suspect and subsequently arrested him.

Wanted person: Detective arrested a male who had a warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a two vehicle non-injury accident.

Trespassing: Officers responded to a local business in reference to a trespassing, one male adult was cited and released for a trespass violation.

Nov. 8:

Traffic Stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop that resulted in the arrest of an adult female for DUI.

Traffic Stop: Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle, one male adult was arrested on a bench warrant.

Traffic stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop, the driver was arrested for DUI and possession of methamphetamine.

Traffic stop: Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle, one male adult was arrested on multiple warrants.

Domestic violence: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd.  casino reference a welfare check. One male was arrested for domestic battery and transported to Mesquite Detention Center.

Burglary: An officer responded to a construction site reference a burglary from a trailer. A report was completed and the investigation is ongoing.

Sexual Assault: Officers responded to the Mesquite Police Department to take a report of a possible sexual assault. The case is under investigation.

Fraud: Officers responded to the Mesquite Police Department reference a report of a fraud.

Stolen vehicle: An officer was dispatched to a N. Grapevine Rd. residence, in reference to a trailer theft.  The trailer was recovered a short distance away.

Nov. 9:

Wanted person: Officers responded to a business and made contact with a female employee who had an active felony warrant out of the Mesquite Justice Court. The female was arrested for the warrant.

Transport: One juvenile was transported to the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada without incident.

Citizen assist: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd. casino hotel to assist in a search for a lost wedding ring.

Traffic stop: Officer conducted a traffic stop for a traffic offense. The driver was arrested for active warrants.

Traffic stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop two adults were arrested for alcohol violations.

Nov. 10:

Theft: Officers responded to a grocery store on a report of a theft. A report was completed.

Dead body: Officer responded to a residence reference a deceased person. Mesquite Fire and Rescue responded and they confirmed one adult male was deceased.

Found property: Officers took a report of a found wallet. The wallet was booked into evidence for safekeeping.

Traffic accident W/O injury: Officers responded to a two vehicle accident. A report was completed.

Suspicious person: Received call regarding suspicious male attempting to sell narcotics near a park. Description taken and incident created.

Stolen vehicle: Spoke to RP and got vehicle and parties involved information; advised that it is a civil situation, will follow up with father’s number.
