Police Blotter Nov. 18-24, 2018

Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 135 calls this week:

Nov. 18:

Found property: Cell phone and car key turned in as found property.

DUI:  A male was arrested for DUI which also caused a vehicle accident. He was transported to the detention center and booked.

Suspicious person: Security from an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino called Police for a male urinating in public. The male was found and taken into custody.

Trespassing: Officers responded to a local casino for a male who had been previously trespassed, he was issued a citation and released.

Nov. 19:

Miscellaneous CAD Call Record: Spoke with a resident regarding an ongoing issue with a neighbor concerning pets.

Person on Foot: An officer contacted an intoxicated person walking in the roadway. The male was issued a citation and released.

Wanted person: An adult female was taken into custody for two (2) active bench warrant. She was booked into the Mesquite Detention Center for the warrants.

Nov. 20:

Trespassing: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino reference a trespass violator. One adult male was cited and released for trespassing.

Found property: Camera found off I-15 turned in and placed in vault.

Welfare check: Responded to welfare check request. Officer discovered the party deceased.

Citizen assists: Officer responded by returning a phone call for a citizen assist with child custody issues.

Controlled substance problem: Officers responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. casino for a report of a suspicious person. Several adults were contacted and interviewed. One female adult was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Nov. 21:

Weapon offense: Officers responded to a landscaping company to take a report of a weapons offense. One male suspect was located, cited, and released.

Person on foot: Officer located a female subject with an active warrant. Subject was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Mesquite Detention Center.

Person on foot: Officers made contact with a male who had two local warrants. The male was arrested and booked for the warrants.

Fraud: Officers responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. grocery store reference a report of fraud. One suspect was identified.

TPO/Restraining Order: Officers attempted to make contact with a subject, in reference to court paperwork.

Hit & Run: An officer was dispatched to a W. Mesquite Blvd. business parking lot, in reference to a private property traffic accident.

Domestic violence: Officers responded to a local residence, after an investigation, a male adult was arrested for domestic violence.

Nov. 22:

Traffic Stop: Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation, one male adult was arrested on a bench warrant.

Traffic stop: Officers conducted a vehicle stop for a traffic violation. One male adult was arrested on multiple warrants.

Minor gambling: An officer was dispatched to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino, in reference to a minor gambling. An adult male subject was cited and released for minor gambling.

Minor gambling: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino in reference to a minor gambling, one male adult was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Nov. 23:

Wanted person: Officers observed a male in the parking lot of a grocery store who had a local warrant. The male was taken into custody for the warrant.

Miscellaneous CAD Call Record: Officer issued a female adult a citation for misuse of emergency services.

Agency assistance: Officers responded to Sandhill Blvd. hotel to assist Mesquite Fire and Rescue with a female adult.

Agency assistance: An officer was dispatched to an E. Pioneer Blvd. hotel, in reference to an agency assist. An adult male subject was found deceased in the hotel room.

Nov. 24:

Traffic stop: Officer issued a juvenile male a citation for traffic and criminal offenses.

Stolen vehicle: Officers responded to a Thompson Dr. residence reference a stolen vehicle. A report was completed.

Theft from vehicle: Officers responded to a Lily Ln. residence reference an attempted theft of fuel. Burglary tools were located in the area and the investigation is ongoing.

Theft from vehicle: Officers responded to an E. Old Mill Rd. apartment complex reference a theft of a license plate. A report was completed.

Burglary: Report taken of property unlawfully removed from a Lily Ln. residence.

Suspicious person: Officers responded to a street reference a suspicious male. One adult male was arrested on a warrant out of the Mesquite Municipal Court.

Found property: While on separate call mother of juvenile provided me a cell phone which did not belong to the child. Child refused to state where the phone came from.

Dead body: Officers responded to a city wash for a report of a deceased person. A person was discovered and appeared to have been so for several months. Clark County Coroners was notified and took over the investigation

Traffic stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a violation. One female adult was cited for smoking marijuana in a moving vehicle.
