Some calls that Mesquite Fire and Rescue receives are not always included in the report, as a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our Fire and Rescue workers do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 75 calls this week:

Nov. 11:

Convulsions:  Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded to a reported person having a seizure. Person refused transport and singed Against Medical Advice.

Heart Problem: Rescue 31 and Rescue 32 responded to a reported person with heart problems. One person transported to local hospital.

Nov 12:

Alarm: Rescue 11 and Engine 31 responded to a residential smoke alarm. No smoke, no fire, Negative on 4 alarm gas meter. Battery changed and smoke alarm reset; smoke detector back to normal. All units cleared from scene.

Fire Alarm: Engine 31 and Rescue 31 responded for a residential fire alarm. No smoke, no fire, gas meter negative. Smoke detector battery changed and reset. System is normal. All units cleared from scene.

Nov. 13:

Breathing: Rescues 11 and 32 responded to a report of breathing difficulty. One patient was transported to the local hospital.

Nov. 14:

Unknown Problem:  Rescues 11 and 32 responded to a report of an unknown problem. Two patients were transported to the local hospital.

Fire Inspection:  Engine 31 responded to a report of an active smoke alarm. There was no fire, and the cause was found to be a faulty smoke detector.

Nov. 15:

Gas Leak:  Engine 31 responded to report of a gas leak. On arrival a five gallon propan tank was found that was leaking, leak was controlled.

Stroke (CVA):  Rescue 11 and Rescue 31 responded to report of a possible stroke. Rescue 11 transported one patient to a local hospital.

Nov. 16:

Convulsions:  Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded to report of a child in seizure. Rescue 11 transported one patient to a local hospital.

Cardiac Arrest:  Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded to report of a cardiac arrest. On arrival, resuscitation was attempted, however, was not successful and the patient was determined to be deceased.

Nov. 17:

Trauma:  Rescue 32 responded for a football player injury. Patient transported to Mesa View Hospital.

Convulsions:  Rescue 31 and Rescue 32 responded for a person having seizures. Patient transported to St. George hospital.
