Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 181 calls this week:

Sept. 30:
Hit & Run: Officer completed a traffic accident on private property report.
Found property: An officer was called to the lobby in reference to a found wallet.
Oct. 1:
Theft: Officer responded to a local car wash for a report of a vending machine being burglarized. Officer took a report and processed evidence; investigation is ongoing.
Traffic accident w/o injury: Officer responded to a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported and an accident report was completed.
Wanted person: Officer responded to a report of a wanted person. One adult male was arrest for an outstanding warrant out of The Mesquite Municipal Court.
Welfare check: Officer conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation. The driver had an active warrant out of Lincoln County. The driver was arrested for the warrant.
Unknown problem: An intoxicated female adult was arrested for misuse of emergency service. She was transported to the detention center and booked on the above charge.
Oct. 2:
Controlled substance problem: Mesquite Officer responded to a local school reference a student causing a disturbance.
Controlled substance problem: Detectives arrested an adult female for sales of methamphetamine.
Animal complaint: Officer completed an animal complaint report.
DUI: An officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic offense. The adult female driver was arrested for DUI Alcohol-second offense, open container and several traffic violations.Oct. 3:
Traffic stop: An officer conducted a traffic stop for traffic related violations.
Past disturbance: An Officer was dispatched to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino in reference to a disorderly female adult.
Property damage, non –vandalism: Officers responded to a W. Mesquite Blvd. business reference a property damage. A report was taken and it was forwarded to the maintenance department.
Suspicious person: Officers took a report of two suspicious people at a local business.
Fraud: Officers responded to a Desert Dr. residence on a report of a possible fraud.
Domestic violence: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino reference a report of domestic violence.
DUI: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. One adult male was arrested for DUI, open container of alcohol, speeding, and driving on a revoked license.
Person on foot: Officers observed a male cross a public roadway outside of a crosswalk. The male was cited and released for the offense.
Oct. 4:
Theft: Officers responded to a theft at a casino.
Truancy: Mesquite Police School Resource Officer responded to a local school reference a truant student. The student received a citation for truancy.
Suspicious person: Officers responded to a suspicious circumstance. A male returned home to find appliances had been used inside his home.
Battery on person: Mesquite Police Officer responded to a Valley View Dr. school reference a report of battery.
Traffic accident w/o injury: Officers responded to a traffic accident involving two vehicles. There were no reported injuries and a report was completed.
Burglary: Officer responded to a burglary of a trailer. Investigation is ongoing.
Fraud: Officers responded to a report of a fraud. The complainant completed a fraud packet and a report was completed.
Disorderly conduct: Officers responded to a local business for a report of a male causing a disturbance. The male was located and arrested for Breach of Peace.
Oct. 5:
Graffiti: Officer responded to a report of graffiti. Officer took the report and investigation is ongoing.
Fraud: Officer took a fraud report from a previous reported fraud from 2016.
Civil matter: Officers responded to a report of an accident involving a vehicle and a bicycle.
It was determined there was not contact between the vehicle and bicycle. A report was completed and the parties involved were referred to civil court.
Suspicious person: Officers were dispatched to a local parking lot, in reference to a suspicious situation. An adult female subject was taken into custody for a felony warrant and possession of drug paraphernalia. An adult male subject was taken into custody for a misdemeanor warrant and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Wanted person: Officers responded to an intersection in reference to an intoxicated person. One adult male was arrested on a warrant.
DUI: Officers made a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding, one female adult was arrested for DUI.
Oct. 6:
Reckless driver: Officers were dispatched to a local intersection, in reference to a reckless driver. The reporting person followed this vehicle to a local parking lot and identified the driver. The driver, an adult male subject, was taken into custody for DUI-Alcohol (1st offense).
Phone harassment: Officer completed a harassment call report.
Wanted person: Officers located a vehicle with expired registration at a local business, one male adult was arrested on a warrant.
Domestic violence: Officers were dispatched to a Pulispher Ln. residence, in reference to a domestic in progress. An adult male subject was taken into custody for domestic battery (1st offense).
