Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 175 calls this week:

Oct. 7:
Minor gambling: An officer responded to a casino reference a minor gambling incident. One adult under the age of 21 was issued a citation for minor gambling.
Stolen vehicle: Officer responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino reference a stolen vehicle. A report was taken and the stolen vehicle was entered into NCIC.
Citizen Assist: Officer was contacted regarding a threatening incident which had occurred earlier in the week.
Oct. 8:
Wanted person: An adult male was taken into custody for an active bench warrant. He was booked into the Mesquite Detention Center.
Animal complaint: ACO Leavitt responded to 168 Blackfoot Street and made contact with RP, who stated that the dogs at 413 Bannock Street run out and chase him and his wife down the street. They ride their bicycles and the dogs nip at their heels and try to bite the tires. A voluntary statement was filed out and will be attached. Contact was also made with residents at 413 Bannock Street, attempts have been made by the residents to fix the fence; reference incident # 181005-05 for initial report.
Theft: Detective took a report of a stolen phone. All attempts are being made to locate the suspect involved with the theft.
Theft: An officer conducted an agency assist report for an incident outside of
Mesquite.
Traffic Stop: Conducted traffic stop on vehicle speeding in school zone. Driver’s license was suspended and driver had warrant for traffic from other jurisdiction. Driver was arrested for traffic violations.
Reckless Driver: Officers responded to reckless driver call. An Officer saw the driver commit a traffic offense. The driver was issued a citation for the traffic offense.
Oct. 9:
Property Damage, Non Vandalism: An officer responded to a vehicle driven on a baseball field.
Burglary: Responded to a Ventana Cir residence on reported burglary.
Wanted person: An officer made contact with a wanted male, who was taken into custody.
Traffic Accident w/ Injuries: Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident where the driver had fled the scene on foot. Driver was located at local business and taken into custody.
Traffic problem: Officer Goodsell dispatched on original call. I (Woodmancy) responded to the location once I was clear from an accident call and provided traffic protection to the disabled vehicle. Once the tow vehicle arrived and loade4d the vehicle, I provided courtesy transport to a female occupant and her dog time and mileage to the Ford dealer; nothing further to report.
Theft: An officer took a report of two missing handguns from a Desert Dr. residence, possibly stolen. An investigation was initiated, and is ongoing.
Reckless driver: Officer responded to a reckless driver call. The driver was issued a citation for a traffic offense and released.
Oct. 10:
Disorderly conduct: Officer arrested a female adult for breach of peace from a W. Mesquite Blvd. casino.
Domestic violence: Male adult was arrested for domestic battery and booked into the Mesquite Detention Center on the aforementioned charge.
Civil dispute: Officers responded to an Adobe Dr. residence reference a verbal dispute between family members. There was no physical violence and the parties were separated.
Found property: A cell phone was located at a public park and booked into evidence as found property.
Sexual assault: Case from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department was forwarded to the Detective Division.
Found property: An unidentified male turned in found suspected narcotics that he found at a local carwash.
Traffic accident W/O injury: I (Mueller) was dispatched to private property, non-injury accident. Because there was some indication of a disagreement between the drivers, Officer Swanson was also dispatched. V2 was turning into the shopping center from Mesquite Boulevard and was struck by V1 who was driving in a parking lot travel lane. Minor damage was done to V2’s right side door and metal work. Driver Exchange Forms were completed by both drivers and exchanged.
Reckless driver: Officers responded to a local business on a report of a reckless driver. One male was cited for traffic offenses.
DUI: Officers conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation. One male was taken into custody for DUI 1st.
Suspicious person: Officers responded to a business in reference to a suspicious male, one adult male was arrested for a traffic offense.
Oct. 11:
Fraud: Officers responded to a local business to take a fraud report. Two suspects were identified in the incident.
Domestic violence: Officers responded to an apartment complex reference a domestic violence in progress. After speaking with all parties involved one adult male was arrested for Domestic Battery (1st Offense).
Agency assistance: Officers responded to an E. Pioneer Blvd. casino reference a report of a couple causing problems with security. One male was taken into custody for obstructing a police officer and breach of peace.
Wanted person: Officers located a wanted person inside a local business, one female adult was arrested on a warrant.
Oct. 12:
Theft from vehicle: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd. business in reference to a theft from a vehicle, one adult male was arrested for obstruction.
Property Damage, Non Vandalism: Officers responded to a business reference a damage property incident. One adult male was issued a citation.
Vandalism: Detectives investigated a report of vandalism to property by a juvenile and determined the juvenile did not vandalize any property.
Suspicious person: Officers responded to an intoxicated male who was discarding trash and using obscene language in a public place.
Theft: Officers responded to a W. Pioneer Blvd. business in reference to a theft, the male suspect was gone on arrival.
DUI: An officer conducted a traffic stop on the Interstate for a traffic violation. The male driver was arrested for DUI and traffic offenses.
Minor possessing/Consuming: Officers were called to a high school dance for an unknown issue. Two male juveniles were cited for possession of alcohol.
Threatening: The officer was requested to file a report by the R/p, after an alleged threat was made. The R/p requested the incident be a matter of record.
