Some calls that Mesquite Fire and Rescue receives are not always included in the report, as a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our Fire and Rescue workers do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 48 calls this week:

Oct. 21:
Overdose: Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded to report of an overdose. One patient was transported by Rescue 11 to a local hospital.
Diabetic: Rescue 32 responded to the report of a diabetic. Rescue 32 transported patient to the local hospital.
Oct. 22:
MVA with Injury: Rescue 31 and Engine 31 responded to I15 mile marker 112 for a reported vehicle accident; person involved signed Against Medical Advise form on the scene then left with Nevada Highway Patrol.
Back pain: Rescue 31 and Rescue 32 responded for a reported person with back pain. One person transported to local hospital
Overdose: Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded to an overdose. Rescue 11 transported one patient to a local hospital.
Oct. 23:
MVA w/ injury: Rescue 32 and Truck 31 responded to reports of a two vehicle accident. Upon arrival all passengers denied medical care and refused transport.
MVA w/ injury: Rescue 31, Rescue 32, and Truck 31 responded to a vehicle accident. Patient signed out against medical advice.

Oct. 24:
Odor investigation: Rescue 11 and Engine 31 responded to a residence for a propane smell. After investigation with gas meter detector of residence; no evidence of any gas leak. Rescue 11 and Engine 31 cleared from scene.
Unconscious: Rescue 11 and Truck 11 responded to a reported unresponsive person. One person transported the local hospital. Hemorrhage Rescue 31 responded for a person bleeding. Patient transported to hospital in St. George.
Oct. 25:
Psychiatric: Rescue 31 paged out for a patient passed out on the floor with a knife next to him. Rescue 31 transported one to a local hospital for overdose.
Unconscious: Rescue 11 and Engine 31 responded to reports of an unconscious person. The patient denied transport to the hospital.
Oct. 26:
Fire: Station 1 and station 3 called for a possible brush fire. Station 1 and station 3 cooled off embers of the brush fire the backyard of the residents; after all embers were cooled all personnel were available.
Heart problem: Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded to the report of a person with heart problems. Rescue 11 transported patient to the local hospital.
Oct. 27:
Special event: Engine 31 participated in a special event at the Sun City recreation center. Engine 31 was available.
Hemorrhage: Rescue 31 and Engine 31 responded to the report of a person hemorrhaging. Rescue
31 transported patient to the local hospital.
Special event: Rescue 11 participated in a special event at the Mesquite library. Rescue 11 available
Trauma: Rescue 31 called for a person complaining of a possible broken finger. One person transported to area local hospital. Rescue 31 available.
