The Mesquite area youth will have the opportunity to exhibit their football skills when the Department of Athletics and Leisure Services hosts our Annual Grid Iron Games Punt, Pass, Kick and a 40 Yard Dash competition has been scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 6:30 pm, at Hunter Sports Complex, field # 3 located at 500 West Mesquite Blvd.

The competition is free and open to boys and girls ages six to 15. “Nicholas Montoya, Dept. Director, This competition allows children to showcase their talents and skills in punting, passing, kicking and running; with scores based on distance, accuracy and speed”. The City of Mesquite annual program program has been a staple in past for the NFL for many years and they have discounted the program over the past two years. We have started are own program for the kids.

Participation in the competition is FREE!

Girls and boys in five separate age divisions (6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13 and 14-15) compete against each other in punting, passing, place kicking, and running in a fun and engaging forum. Please have a legal guardian present to sign a waiver. No cleats are allowed during the competition, registration for the program will be taken the night of the event on location.
