On June 17 at approximately 2:30 a.m., Mesquite Police officers responded to a parking lot located at the 800 block of West Pioneer Blvd regarding a vehicle ramming into other vehicles and then discharging multiple gunshots from inside the suspect’s vehicle.  Officers were then advised the vehicle had fled the scene.  Officers and detectives quickly arrived on scene to investigate while other officers began actively searching for the suspect.  Police were able to quickly identify the suspect and vehicle through witness accounts and video footage from nearby businesses.  The vehicle was also identified entering I-15 and traveling Northbound through video footage.

Mesquite Police notified Arizona and Utah law enforcement agencies and provided vehicle and suspect information.  At approximately 3:20 a.m., Washington City Utah Police located the vehicle and suspect and were able to safely take the suspect into custody.

Thankfully, although there were multiple people and vehicles in the parking lot at the time of the incident, nobody was struck by a bullet and only two people received minor injuries from the suspect’s vehicle as it was ramming into other parked vehicles.

The suspect, Ryan Hanrahan, 30, of St George Utah, was arrested in Utah on an emergency arrest warrant issued by the Mesquite Police Department.  Police Detectives are currently in the process of securing a felony warrant of arrest on Ryan Hanrahan on the following charges: Two felony counts of battery with a deadly weapon, six felony counts of discharging a firearm from a vehicle, and three felony counts of breaking/Injuring/Tampering with a motor vehicle.

Ryan Hanrahan is currently in custody in Utah and will begin the extradition protocol process to be brought back to Nevada to face the criminal charges listed above.
