The Mesquite Republican Women are hosting their second political candidate forum of the season on Thursday, May 10 at the First Baptist Church, 700 Hardy Way in Mesquite.

“We had a very successful forum on April 11 for the Congressional District 4 republican candidates with 85 people attending the event,” said Annie Black, President of the Mesquite Republican Women’s group and a candidate herself for Mesquite City Council. “We have more than 20 republican candidates slated to attend the May 10 forum, including many running for statewide offices that represent the Mesquite area.”

The forum, which is open to the public, will begin at 5 p.m. with a meet and greet among the candidates. Beginning at 6 p.m. each candidate will give a brief speech.
