The Mesquite Council of the Knights of Columbus hosted a Basketball Free Throw Contest for 9 to 13-year old’s. The event was held at the Mesquite Rec Center on Saturday January 27.TH Winners are eligible to compete in the Southern Nevada Regional Championship in Boulder City, NV in March.
Last year Mesquite had 2 winners take home the regional and state awards. Let’s wish this year’s winners the best of luck in advancing in the K of C Basketball Free Throw Contest. Winners by age were:
- Christopher Pantelakis (Age 9)
- Aiden Muniz (Age 10)
- Andrew Muniz (Age 11)
- Jonathan Pantelakis (Age 12)
- Kaleb Valdez (Age 13)
The Knights of Columbus is an international Catholic Men’s service organization that provides assistance to charities around the world. The local Mesquite council is very involved with Mesquite based organizations. They are sponsors of the Mesquite Special Olympics, Mesquite Little League, Mesquite Reads and other local charities and organizations.
