MESQUITE, NV (Leisure Services Dept.) – A New DANCE Program the City of Mesquite
Department of Athletics & Leisure Services is offering for the summer months. This is a
recreational dance programs for boys and girls, ages 4-12.
Students from preschool through junior high school can enjoy spinning, kicking and leaping
across the floor while doing jazz, hip hop, lyrical, tap and a variety of dance routines. We teach
classes that are laced with correct technique, dance fundamentals, proper terminology, and fun,
fresh choreography.
One of our main goals is get children up and moving and excited about dance. Students are
getting the opportunity to expand their dance repertoire with sassy jazz routines, super fun hip
hop choreography, and beautiful, classy lyrical combinations. Fun is never lacking once
supervised tricks. These classes are perfectly designed for those training dance or school dance
teams, for those just looking for a creative outlet, or adding exercise to their routines.
The Mesquite Leisure Services Department is now offering these programs, 4 -7 years old dance
classes will be Monday – Friday 10:30AM – 12:00PM; 8 – 12 years old are from 12:00PM –
2:30PM. These classes are held at the Mesquite Recreation Center. This class is taught by Emily
Burton, she is on the Dance Team at Dixie State University.
