Many calls that the Police Department receives are not always included in the blotter, as they are under investigation or a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our PD does do, we are including a weekly roster of stats.

Editor’s note: The following was taken from the pages of the Mesquite Police Department blotter for Oct. 4-10, 2015.

Oct. 4:

Trespassing IP: An Officer responded to a W Pioneer Blvd Mesquite business for a person causing a disturbance. The female was trespassed from the property.

Vandalism: An Officer responded to a Mesa Blvd Casino parking lot for a report of vandalism to a vehicle. A report was taken and the vandalism is being investigated.

Minor Possessing/Consuming: Officers responded to N Willow St for a welfare check on a 19-year-old male.  The male had been consuming alcohol and was cited for adult minor consumption.

Welfare Check: Officers responded to a welfare check of an adult female on Riverside Rd, who was not answering for her home care giver.  After entering the home, the female was deceased, and the Clark County Corner’s Office was contacted to assist.

Traffic Problem: An officer issued a citation for traffic violations at E Mesquite Blvd & N Sandhill Blvd.

Trespassing IP: Officer responded to a N Sandhill Blvd grocery store reference a trespass violator. Officer contacted and arrested a local male for trespassing and an active bench warrant.

Traffic Problem: Officers responded to a report of a street light that had been struck down and was in the roadway on Mesa Blvd. The vehicle and driver who was responsible for the damage was located and issued traffic violation citations.

Oct. 5:

Stolen Vehicle: Officers responded to a Falcon Ridge Pkwy parking lot for a reported stolen vehicle, from On Star. The vehicle was located and two suspects were identified and arrested.

Welfare Check: Officers responded to a S Arrowhead Ln residence in reference to a welfare check of an elderly female.  After an investigation an arrest for domestic battery was made.

Hit & Run: An officer responded to the lobby in reference to a private property accident that had occurred several days prior.

Driving Under the Influence: While responding to a suspicious vehicle at the animal shelter on Hardy Way, Officers observed the vehicle driving on the roadway.  Upon investigation, the female driver was arrested for DUI.

Wanted Person: An Officer responded to the Mesquite Justice Facility reference a female with a warrant.  A female was located, had one active Mesquite Court warrant and was arrested.

Theft: Officer responded to a W Pioneer Blvd business reference a theft call.  An unknown male stole two generators then fled the scene.  The investigation continues.

Oct. 6:

Trespassing: Officers responded to the Virgin River Casino for a male who had been trespassed and refused to leave. Male was arrested for trespassing.

Theft: Officers responded to a report of a theft at a W Mesquite Blvd casino.  One adult male was cited and released with a court date for defrauding an innkeeper.

Domestic Trouble: An officer was called to investigate a disturbance on Jasmine Ct that had occurred the previous evening.  After an investigation a domestic battery citation was issued.

Traffic Stop: During a traffic stop at the I15 SB 122 On-Ramp an adult male driver was arrested for various traffic offenses.

Hit & Run: Officers responded to a hit and run accident on W Mesquite Blvd.  A report was taken.

Oct. 7:

Suspicious/Pers: Officers responded to a vacant E Mesquite Blvd motel reference suspicious people entering one of the rooms. The three adults were trespassed from the property by the owner, and escorted off property.

Oct. 8:

Assault/Battery: One adult male on E Pioneer Blvd was arrested for battery and breach of peace.

Hit & Run: Officers responded to an E Pioneer Blvd parking lot reference a hit and run collision. Information was gathered and a report was taken.

Welfare Check: Officers responded to a Condor St residence to check on the welfare of a female subject. Officers made contact with the female and no assistance was needed.

Wanted Person: Detectives with the Mesquite Police Department contacted an adult male while conducting a narcotics investigation on Riverside Rd. The male provided false identification and was arrested for obstructing a public officer and for an active warrant issued from the Mesquite Municipal Court.

Oct. 9:

Domestic Trouble: Officers were dispatched to a local hospital, in reference to a domestic

Battery on Riverside Rd.

Stolen Vehicle: Officer completed a stolen vehicle report on Riverside Rd.

Verbal Dispute IP: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd casino reference a verbal argument between a male and female.

Intoxicated Person: Officers were dispatched to a W Mesquite Blvd gas station, in reference to an intoxicated person.

Oct. 10:

Wanted Person: Officers arrested a female on E Pioneer Blvd who had a warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court.

Traffic Accident w/ Damage: A report was taken for a private property non-injury accident on Turtleback Rd. The vehicle and property owners received their copy of the driver’s exchange form.

Theft From Veh: Officers responded to a Colleen Ct residence reference theft from a vehicle. Information was gathered an investigation is ongoing at this time.

Theft From Veh: Officers responded to an E Pioneer Blvd casino reference theft from a vehicle. Information was gathered an investigation is ongoing at this time.

Theft: Police responded to a W Pioneer Blvd business reference a patron attempting to leave the store without paying for merchandise. The adult female suspect was issued a citation for petit larceny and released with a court date.

Civil Dispute: Officers responded to a Mesa Blvd residence reference a verbal dispute.
