Jake Noll, Assistant Governor for Rotary District 5300, said he was very happy with the event. “We had hoped to double the number of car show participants over last year and instead went from 17 cars to 48 amazing cars.”

The People’s Choice Award, voted on by the attendees, went to Dick and Beth Crabtree from St. George who displayed a 1939 Buick Special.  Winning the Best Paint Award was Butch and Judy Loger from Wyoming, who showed a 2009 Dodge Challenger.  Taking the Best Rat Rod Award was Mike and Lisa Wilde from Mesquite with their 1947 International Truck.

Winning Best in Show Award was Ron Serab of Mesquite who brought a stunning 1970 Pontiac Firebird that had a rare stock spoiler.

Rounding out the event’s winners was Bonnie Hexum of Mesquite who had the best chili as selected by the show attendees.

Noll gave special thanks to the Desert Rodders Club of Southern Utah, the Rods and Rebels Club and the Southern Utah Mustang Owners Association.  “Without their support we wouldn’t have had the great turnout,” said Noll.

Dollars raised during the event are used to fund local scholarships, support the Food Bank and send local youth to Rotary leadership camps.
