On Monday, November 17, the GAS Club played a modified Stableford Format with points awarded for scores relative to the par on each hole.

The winning team edged out the second place team by 3/10 of a stroke and held up after several members audited the scorecards. The winning team of Bill Losh, Ron Vedd, Clark Mitchell and John Meyer left a tear in the eyes of the runner up team of Andrew Yeh, Jeff Lund, Bob Chambers and Jim Buttler.

Closest to the pin winners were Buttler on hole #2, Lund on hole #5 and Mitchell on hole #8. Buttler also took low net with his score of 32.2.

Three skins went to two players, also, Vedd took one while Yeh snatched the other two for the day. Yeh’s eagle on the par five hole #1 secured his double skin. “Hitting a driver and a six iron from the black tees,” said Buttler. “Making a five-foot put also helped!”

Wednesday’s format was an 18-hole modified Stableford two-man team earning points according to the pars on each hole.

The top two teams earning the money were Yeh and Alex Churchich, leading by just 1.2 strokes over Justin Hughes and Dave Calmelat. The birdie on hole 18 by Yeh earned him four points, making all the difference.

Closest to the pin winners were Lund on hole #2, Yeh on #5, Churchich on #8, Mitchell on hole #14 and John Johnson on hole #17.

Skins were won by Calmelat, Johnson, Churchich, Hughes and Yeh.
