Competitors from all over the globe will converge on Mesquite to participate in this prestigious event. Certified by USA Track & Field, the Tri-State marathon is a qualifier for the world renowned Boston Marathon.
The Mesquite race takes participants through breathtaking views of magnificent desert scenery, red rock hills and dazzling mesas – some of the finest sights in the Southwest. The mostly downhill course, which winds through three states and along the Virgin River Valley, is expected to last about six hours.
Full marathon runners will be bused 26.2 miles from the CasaBlanca Resort and Casino. Expected start time for this race is 7 a.m. Race organizers are requesting that entrants verify departure times for the buses so as not to delay start. With a scheduled start time of 7:30 a.m., half-marathon runners will be taken to the 13.1 mile point. The 5k race is slated for an 8 a.m. start. For the safety of all participants and spectators, note that this is an open road race and runners must stay on the left side of the road, facing traffic. The finish line for all races is located inside the CasaBlanca Events Center. For full course descriptions and details, visit www.mesquitemarathon.com.
