I just want to say "Thank You" to Mesquite Fire and Rescue personnel Mike Gleason, GG Misa, AmberLynn LeBaron and Spencer Lewis.
My husband Del was suffering a life threatening illness on April 14 of this year at our home. I called 911, and these four people were sent to help. Without their quick, professional and obvious excellent medical knowledge the outcome would have been very different for my husband.
The survival rate of what he was suffering is staggering. It was only because of these four people that he is recovering. He spent two months in a Las Vegas hospital but is home now and doing well.
I was later told that every second counted for him to even make it to surgery.
Mr. Gleason, Mr. Misa, Ms. LeBaron and Mr. Lewis did not waste a second. They were kind, professional and did their job flawlessly. For that we are forever grateful.
Many of the caregivers in Las Vegas told me over and over throughout the two months he was in the hospital that it was a miracle he even made it to surgery. They were all stunned at the response time given Del that day, given how far we had to come. The initial first responders made the difference. That alone speaks volumes about the professionals at Mesquite Fire and Rescue.
