Speed still kills

I live in Sun City and drive on Falcon Ridge Parkway quite a lot.  The speed limit is 35 mph.

I was driving home the other day and in the middle lane of a three-lane road, lay a small dead animal.  Speeding seems to be the norm on this road, more so than any other road I have driven in Mesquite.

How fast, with little or no regard for the little animals that dart across the road, does someone need to drive?  Is their life so important that in their own mind, they think, “What the heck, it's only an animal.”  All I can say is what a sad, pathetic world they must live in. Drive the speed limit, or maybe even a little slower, pay attention and get a real life.
