Here is my argument for anti-smoking and smoke-free casinos.
No. l -- If a person next to me is drinking alcohol, my health is not affected. Likewise I do not go home with clothes reeking of alcohol.
No 2 -- My rights are taken away when I must leave an establishment soon after arriving, because of the smoke, when perhaps I would spend two or three hours there.
No. 3 -- The majority of people must submit to a minority of smokers.
No. 4 -- The casinos should take a lesson from many airports that have smoking lounges. Why have non-smoking lounges in casinos when the majority of people do not smoke. In Mesquite, we have no choice.
No 5 -- My best friend is terminal with lung cancer and was a long time tobacco user.
No 6 -- Smoking is addictive.
In Mesquite we have a large population of people with COPD. Of all the people that should not be exposed to smoke, it is that population. Their very lives are at risk.
