Regional Fire Update

With all of the smoke in the air, here are some of its sources.

The Arizona Strip is experincing more fire damage:

* Chuppy (Arizona Strip Field Office, Bureau of Land Management): 600 acres at zero percent contained. This fire is five miles east of Littlefield. The community of Hebron is threatened.

* Pigeon Canyon (Arizona Strip Field Office, Bureau of Land Management): 800 acres at zero percent contained. This fire is 45 miles south of St. George.

The fire that was in the Gorge over the weekend, The Hodgets Canyon Fire, was contained at just 220 acres.

* Buckskin (Winnemucca District, Bureau of Land Management): 5,000 acres at five percent contained. This fire is 14 miles south of McDermitt. Structures are threatened.
Bull Run Complex (Elko District, Bureau of Land Management): 56,664 acres at 55 percent contained. This complex of five fires is 24 miles southwest of Mountain City. Structures are threatened. Information: Call 775-757-2471 or visit the fire info website.
Cain (Battle Mountain District, Bureau of Land Management):7,402 acres at 75 percent contained. This fire is 50 miles northwest of Austin.
* Eastern Mine (Southern Nevada District, Bureau of Land Management): 350 acres at zero percent contained. This fire is 13 miles southwest of Mesquite.
Fraiser (Battle Mountain District, Bureau of Land Management): 12,091 acres at 95 percent contained. This fire is 30 miles northeast of Eureka.
Gilbert (Battle Mountain District, Bureau of Land Management): 31,652 acres at 95 percent contained. This fire is 40 miles northwest of Austin.
Hanson (Winnemucca District, Bureau of Land Management): 15,000 acres at 55 percent contained. This fire is 10 miles northwest of Paradise Valley. Structures are threatened. Information: Call 775-623-1541 or visit the fire info website.
Holloway (Winnemucca District, Bureau of Land Management): 418,235 acres at 48 percent contained. This fire is 25 miles east of Denio. Structures and a communications site are threatened. Information: Call 775-941-0065 or visit the fire info website.
Kane (Ely District, Bureau of Land Management): 4,246 acres at 90 percent contained. This fire is 20 miles south of Caliente.

West Marys (Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest): 100 acres at 65 percent contained. This fire is nine miles southwest of Jarbidge.
Willow (Northern Region, Department of Natural Resources): 43,271 acres at 95 percent contained. This fire is 25 miles north of Battle Mountain. Information: Call 808-557-1251 or visit the fire info website.
Indian Creek (Battle Mountain District, Bureau of Land Management): This fire was contained at 2,532 acres.
Green Horn (Northern Region, Department of Natural Resources): This fire was contained at 2,680 acres.
