I was born in Las Vegas in 1989. My parents had moved to Las Vegas from Logan, Utah because my dad got a job teaching English at Brinley Junior High School. When I was two years old, we moved to Moapa Valley because my dad was hired to teach English at Moapa Valley High School. Yes, I have been a Pirate most of my life.
I got into sports early, participating in soccer, volleyball, basketball, and softball. In high school I lettered in volleyball, basketball, and softball. I enjoyed the rivalry between Virgin Valley and Moapa Valley; the games were intense and a lot of fun.
After graduating from high school, I attended Dixie State College majoring in Elementary Education. College was challenging but fun. I went to the basketball and football games and was on the Institute Council for a year. After four and a half years, I graduated from Dixie and went looking for a job. I was not picky and applied for jobs in Utah, Arizona, and Nevada. But I was extra thrilled to be offered a job at Virgin Valley Elementary School. It is great to be close to my mom, dad, and my two brothers, but, especially, I love being able to spend time with my niece and nephew. Teaching at Virgin Valley Elementary has been a wonderful experience; I love my little first grade class. I really appreciate all the help I have received from the administration and teachers at Virgin Valley Elementary. They have helped me more than I can say with all I had to do to get my class up and running.
Currently, I am living at home until I have saved enough money to find my own place in Mesquite.
