Susan Potter comes to Virgin Valley Elementary as the new KIDS program instructor.
The KIDS Early Childhood class met last year on one Friday each month. The students in the KIDS class were joined by their parents for community-based instruction, visiting local businesses and organizations that reinforced the skills and concepts they were learning in their early childhood program at school.
Potter has 23 years of teaching experience in the fields of Special Education, Elementary Education and Reading. She has taught in Washington State, the countries of Columbia and Kuwait, and has also taught on the Navajo reservation in New Mexico.
Potter says she enjoys traveling, photography, arts and crafts, and spending time with her niece and nephew who live here in Mesquite. She said she is very happy to be at VVES and living in Mesquite.
