Berkley meets with Mesquite supporters

On Wednesday, Oct. 17, U.S. Senate candidate Shelley Berkley visited Mesquite to meet with local supporters at the Mesquite Senior Center to talk about the importance of the upcoming election and the need to create good-paying jobs that can’t be shipped overseas, protect Medicare and Social Security, and keep the promises we have made to our veterans.

“I’m thrilled to be in Mesquite to talk about what's at stake for Nevada's middle-class families and the need to create good-paying jobs that can't be outsourced, protect Medicare and Social Security, and keep the promises we've made to our veterans,” said U.S. Senate candidate Shelley Berkley, “While I am fighting for the middle-class in Mesquite and across Nevada, Senator Dean Heller wants to turn Medicare over to profit-hungry private insurance companies, continue tax breaks for Wall Street corporations that ship jobs overseas, and tax payer subsidies to Big Oil companies making record profit.  Senator Heller's values may be good for Wall Street special interests, but they are wrong for Mesquite working families."
