n Driving under the influence: May 20 -- Police observed a vehicle swerving and failing to maintain a travel lane at West Pioneer and Oasis boulevards. A traffic stop was conducted and the investigation showed the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested for DUI.
n Traffic problem: May 20 -- Officer observed a vehicle parked lengthwise in front of a stop sign at the West Pioneer Boulevard and Highland Drive intersection. A parking citation was issued.
n Property damage, non-vandalism: May 20 -- Officers were dispatched to Riverside Road residence, for a report of an accidental discharge of a firearm. Officer arrived and obtained all the facts pertaining to the incident and determined it was accidental. No reported injuries occurred and very minor property damage resulted.
n Found property: May 20 -- Officers responded to the CasaBlanca Casino reference a found property report. Officers collected personal documents, which were found near the property. The owner of the property was not located and the documents were placed into safe keeping.
n Driving under the influence: May 20 -- Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic offense on North Sandhill Boulevard. The adult male driver of the vehicle failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for DUI -- 1st offense.
n Minor gambling: May 20 -- Police were called to a local casino for a minor gambling. Upon arrival the Police conducted an investigation which revealed the subject gambling was under the legal age. The adult male was cited and released.
n Domestic trouble: May 21 -- Officers responded to Rivers Bend Drive residence, reference a domestic disturbance. Officers contacted an adult male and an adult female. The officers investigation revealed a domestic battery had occurred, and the female was the primary physical aggressor. The female was arrested for domestic battery.
n Petit larceny: May 21 -- An officer was dispatched to a North Sandhill Boulevard gas station in reference to a petit larceny from the previous day. The manager of the store had found that a theft had taken place on video surveillance. An investigation was begun.
n Suicidal person: May 21 -- Officers responded to a Mesa Boulevard residence where a male adult was making suicidal statements. The male was transported to the hospital for treatment.
n Phone harassment: May 21 -- An officer was dispatched to the police department, in reference to harassing text messages and telephone calls received/.
n Vandalism: May 21 -- An officer responded to a city-owned facility on North Yucca Stree for a report of vandalism. A report was taken and an investigation is underway.
n Wanted person: May 21 -- An officer responded to the Mesquite Detention Center for a Juvenile with a warrant. The warrant was confirmed and the juvenile taken into custody. The juvenile will be transported to the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center in Las Vegas.
n Domestic trouble: May 21 -- Officers responded to Glade Road residence, reference a domestic dispute. Officers contacted an adult male and female, and learned a domestic battery had occurred. Officers determined the female was the primary physical aggressor. The female was arrested for domestic battery.
n Stolen vehicle: May 21 -- A female adult called the police department, regarding questions reference a civil matter pertaining to her the lending of her personal vehicle. The female's questions were answered and an officer’s report was taken.
n Wanted person: May 21 -- An officer contacted an adult male on West First South Street who had an active arrest warrant. The warrants were confirmed and the male was arrested.
n Wanted person: May 22 -- Officer responded to Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas and took a subject into custody for a Mesquite warrant.
n Abandoned vehicle: May 22 -- An officer observed an abandoned vehicle parked in the community park on Second South Street. A 24-hour, notice-to-remove sticker was placed on the vehicle.
n Burglary: May 22 -- An officer responded to an Easy First South Street residence for a theft report. A report was taken and an investigation is underway.
n Property damage, vandalism: May 22 -- Officer was dispatched to a Dairy Lane residence for a report of property damage. The reporting person's vehicle had been spray painted with black paint. A report and photographs were taken.
n Agency assistance: May 22 -- Officers responded to the Mesquite Mental Health Center on North Willow Street, reference a transportation request. Officers transported an adult female to Mesa View Hospital for a mental evaluation.
n Hit and run: May 22 -- Officers responded to a local casino for report of a hit-and-run accident on East Pioneer Boulevard. A parked vehicle was struck sometime during the last few days. There are no known suspects or witnesses at this time. A criminal report was completed.
n Minor possessing/consuming alcohol: May 23 -- Officers initiated an investigative stop on an adult female who was sitting in the parking lot of a casino. The female had been drinking alcohol and was under the age of 21. The female was issued a citation for minor consumption of alcohol.
n Trespassing: May 23 -- Officers responded to a report of a highly intoxicated male urinating in public on West Mesquite Boulevard. Officers located the male adult staggering upon the roadway. The male was arrested for said offenses.
n Lost property: May 23 -- Officers responded to the Virgin River Casino on East Pioneer Boulevard reference a lost property report. The adult female complainant reported her social security card was lost or stolen. Officers were unable to locate the property.
n Wanted person: May 23 -- Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Hillside and Bulldog drives. An adult male was seated in the front passenger seat. The male had an active warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court. Officer arrested the male and transported him to the Mesquite Detention Center.
n Stolen vehicle: May 23 -- Officers clearing from a disturbance call on an East Pioneer Boulevard parking lot requested a wants check on a vehicle which returned stolen out of Utah. One adult male arrested for possession of stolen vehicle.
n Weapon offense: May 23 -- Officer conducted a Second South Street traffic stop on a vehicle for general equipment violation. The back rear passenger was in possession of a dangerous weapon. The driver was issued a traffic citation and the passenger was issued a citation for possession of dangerous weapon and released with a court date.
n Domestic trouble: May 23 -- An officer was dispatched to a local medical facility, in reference to an adult female patient who stated she had been assaulted. Officers determined a domestic battery had occurred between the female and her boyfriend. Due to the lack of cooperation from both parties involved this incident will be forwarded to the Mesquite City Attorney's office for review and possible prosecution.
n Driving under the influence: May 24 -- Officers were dispatched to attempt to locate a suspected drunken driver on West Mesquite Boulevard. The described vehicle was located a short time later and the driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a revoked drivers license. The passenger was arrested for possession of a controlled substance - cocaine and obstructing a public officer.
n Graffiti: May 24 -- Officer responded to a South Grapevine Road apartment complex, reference graffiti. Officer obtained photographs of the graffiti and is currently attempting to locate the suspects involved with the vandalism.
n Wanted person: May 24 -- Officer responded to a North Grapevine Road residence, reference a citizen assist. A records check revealed the complainant had an active warrant out of Henderson. The warrant and transportation was confirmed. The subject was arrested and transported to the Mesquite Detention Center.
n Traffic accident with damage: May 24 -- Officers responded to a report of a minor traffic accident in a local casino parking lot. Report has been taken.
n Traffic accident with damage: May 24 -- Officer responded to a local business on North Sandhill Boulevard, reference a non-injury traffic accident. A driver's exchange was completed with both drivers.
n Agency assistance: May 24 -- Officers responded to a North Yucca Street residence to assist Mesquite Fire and Rescue with an adult male, who was transported to Mesa View Hospital for further evaluation.
n Graffiti: May 25 -- An officer was dispatched to a local casino, in reference to a graffiti call. A photograph of the graffiti was taken and the matter is being investigated.
n Traffic violation: May 25 -- Officer conducted a West Mesquite Boulevard traffic stop on vehicle with one adult female driver cited for two traffic offenses.
n Burglary: May 25 -- Police responded to a possible burglary attempt at a Springdale Lane residence. A report was taken for the incident and officers are currently attempting to locate the suspect(s).
n Suspicious person/circumstance: May 25 -- Officers responded to West Mesquite Boulevard to investigate a possible, child-abuse case. The incident was forwarded to Nevada Child Protective Services for further investigation.
n Theft: May 25 -- Officer responded to West Pioneer Boulevard market for a report of a theft. One female adult cited and released for theft.
n Trespassing: May 26 -- Officers responded to a local casino, reference a report of a trespass violator. Officers identified the violator and issued him a citation for trespassing. The male was released him with a court date.
n Traffic accident with damage: May 26 -- An officer assisted a motorist, at the Hillside Drive and North Sandhill Boulevard intersection. The motorist was pulling a car, behind a motorhome, and the car came loose from the motorhome, striking the motorhome and damaging both vehicles.
n Battery on person: May 27 -- Officers were dispatched to a local residence in reference to a battery call. The complainant stated he was pushed down by security, in the parking lot, of a local night club. This matter is being investigated.
