On Monday, October 8th Mesquite Police Officers responded to a local business which had received a delivery of a suspicious package that had an unusual smell.
Mesquite Fire and Rescue personnel were on scene when officers arrived and opened the box which contained a five gallon bucket. Inside the bucket officers found a bag containing a large amount of marijuana.
The marijuana was taken to the Mesquite Police Department where it was weighed (11.937 Pounds), chemically tested, and placed into evidence.
This case is still under investigation by the Mesquite Investigative Services Division (ISD).
