Luau to help VVHS football program

A Hawaiian-style luau and barbecue is scheduled for Friday, June 22. It’s a fundraiser for the Virgin Valley High School Football Program.

According to Coach Rich Bowler, the “island party” is to be held at the Mesquite Recreation Center, 100 W. Old Mill Road, starting at 6 p.m..

“The night will feature a real island barbecue with all the trimmings,” Bowler said. Fidelity National Title is donating the meat for the barbecue.

The outdoor pool also will be open.

“Don’t miss a night of swimming, a real Polynesian fire dance and fun,” he added.

The cost is $7 per person or $25 for the whole family. All of the proceeds are to go directly to help players attend summer football camp.

“Come show your Bulldog Spirit and help us kick off a great future for our football program,” he said.
