‘Tis the season to give rather than receive to people in need and that is what the Mesquite Toes and the GMAF (Greater Mesquite Arts Foundation) did by presenting checks to Gladys Smith of the Virgin Valley Food Bank to aid families in the community.
The 8th annual Mesquite Toes Christmas Benefit shows, three in total and nearly filled to capacity brought in $1,500, and the GMAF donated over $400 from the ticket sales for a total donation of $1,900. “Thank you to all of the people that truly gave from their hearts,” said Mesquite-Toes spokesperson Mary Jane Vandeweghe. “This is what makes Mesquite so special.” Pictured left to right are: Sandy Hughes, Phil Brittain, Gladys Smith, Judy Duncker, Joanie Peck, Irene Green.
