Festival set for October 12 & 13
Gold Butte Days, a Festival to celebrate Mesquite and the surrounding beauty of Gold Butte, will be held October 12-13. An array of events are planned including arts and crafts booths, a photo contest, and running race.
A variety of vendors are already on board, from painters and photographers to local organizations and businesses but, there is still plenty of booth space available. The organizers are looking for artists, businesses, crafters and nonprofits.
“Having a booth is a great way to promote your work, network and find new members or supporters for your cause,” said Anne Miranda, organizer of the event.
It is also not too late to sign up for the Gold Butte Days 5k or half marathon race. The event will start and finish at the festival by City Hall in downtown Mesquite, NV. The 5K follows a flat-fast circuit on pavement, while the Half-Marathon is scenic and challenging, mixing flat, fast pavement in-town with rolling pavement, dirt and gravel south of the Virgin River as you experience “a taste of Gold Butte” on the bajada of the Virgin Mountains.
In addition, the Rotary will be hosting a beer garden and organizers are looking for food operators to feed the hungry festival goers and running race participants. Food and beer will be served throughout the festival.
“We are very excited about all the happenings for Gold Butte Days, everything is really coming together, but we welcome all those who want to get involved and show their support for our community,” added Sandra Ramaker.
