Christy is a beautifully marked but shy young lady. You can see it in her eyes – she wishes it weren’t so. Her gaze is always asking a question and she never stops trying to speak with those eyes. Always something she looks to want to ask or say. She’s intelligent, sensitive and soulful. She is a sweet and mellow girl who loves to be held. She would make a perfect affectionate lap cat. You can tell when she is happy by her loud and rumbling purr. If your lap needs warming, look no further!

FEATURED DOG:
Princess is a 3 year old Cocker Spaniel who can’t wait to wiggle her way into your heart! A little shy at first however now coming out of her shell and showing everyone what a great dog she will be. She is still young and has a lifetime of love to give a family who will treasure her. Princess is working with our volunteers on learning some of her basic commands and leash walking skills and she would love to learn more with a new family. This young lady can’t wait to settle into a home to call her very own!

Wish List for Shelter Animals:
Dogs – canned dog food; collars (any size or color); small sweaters and coats; toys that are durable and washable (Kongs, Nylabones, buster cubes, jolly balls – no stuffed animals or rawhide chews please)
Cats – Toys, lasers (they love to chase the lasers & 99cent store has great ones), movable toys; fleece cat beds; cat condo.
All animals will be spayed or neutered prior to leaving shelter and receive 1 year rabies vaccination and city license. Ages are approximated.
The City of Mesquite Animal Shelter located at 795 Hardy Way is open for adoptions from 11am until 1pm, Monday through Saturday.
