Peggy Pope drew the attention of the Dames by reading a Halloween joke and directing the Dames to a flyer on the table of a picture of a witch crashed into a tree with a sign below it stating, “Don’t drink and fly.” Pope then introduced the guest speaker Susan Holecheck.
Holecheck took the Dames on a tour of what programs are available at Mesa View hospital, like Senior Circle for Men and Women 50 or older and Healthy Woman. Susan brought flyers and applications for these programs, Susan talked about a free seminar on medicare November 6 2012.

Jeanine Wehner had the Dames belt out the Desert Dames song also sang Happy Birthday to all whose Birthday’s are in October, Jeanine also recognized all the guests.
The Desert Dames is a non profit organization registered in the state of Nevada. This is a social club for your pleasure, where all are welcomed and may participate in any event in which you would like. Meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Paid reservations are required to attend.
Membership is open to residents 21 years of age and older in the city of Mesquite and the communities of the Virgin Valley area, to include communities surrounding Mesquite within a 25 mile radius. Part time residents are welcomed.
