President Jeanine Wehner welcomed all the Dames and guests then
opened with a joke about Adam and God.
Peggy Pope opened with police humor and introduced the speakers
Michael B. Van Houten and his investigative team, which consisted of
Ron Richmond (Gang task force), Gary Erickson Cyber, Fraud Prevention
and Identity Theft, Celia Hoggard Crime scene Specialist. Sergeant
Van Houten brought in a case full of confiscated weapons and passed
them around, some of the Dames would not touch them for fear of being
cut.
Hoggard brought a case of crime scene kits and showed how one kit can
determine if blood found is human.
Richmond talked about his history with law enforcement, very interesting.
Erickson Talked about the scams out there and what to look for.
Dames were all ears!!
