Virgin Valley Artists Association installed its 2013 executive officers and board at its annual meeting and Christmas party Dec. 8.  Outgoing President Linda Faas introduced her newly elected successor, Barbara Withelder, who will serve as VVAA President for 2013-2014.  Gayle Pfeiffer was voted Vice President for 2013, and Sandy Cooper is elected Recording Secretary for 2013-2014.  Continuing in the second year of their terms for 2013 are Corresponding Secretary Margen Fritts and Treasurer Kathleen Birkholz.

Also elected as board members for 2013-2104 are Diana Coonradt, Rich Killian, Karlynn Jones, Janet Trobough, Bunny Wiseman, and Geraldine Zarate.   Jan Hansen, Geno Withelder, Allen Bell, Cheri Vincent, Elaine Murphy, and Linda Faas continue their terms as board members.

The Virgin Valley Artists Association is the nonprofit 501c3 organization that operates the Mesquite Fine Arts Gallery in Mesquite.   VVAA, with financial support from the City of Mesquite, is planning activities to showcase the 10th Anniversary of the Mesquite Fine Arts Gallery in 2013.  The gallery and art center complex were built in 2003 to expand the City’s cultural core that was anchored by the Virgin Valley Heritage Museum.

VVAA asks all early members of the organization to email  vvarts@gmail.com or phone the Gallery at 702-346-1338 to assure that they are included on the list compiled for notification of events during this anniversary year.    VVAA’s website is www.mesquitefineartscenter.com.
