As a “thank you” to local Veterans, artist Tammy Nielsen Symons spent Friday the 13th drawing free pastel portraits for local Veterans who visited the Mesquite Fine Arts Gallery.  She is making the same offer to the first 6 Vets who visit the Gallery on July 20 and July 27.

Tammy, a resident of Moapa Valley and member of Virgin Valley Artists Association, made the same offer to Moapa Valley Vets last year.  She enjoys doing these portraits to show her gratitude to those who have given so much for their country.

Portraits are done on a “first come, first served” basis for the next two Fridays.  Six vets will be provided a numbered ticket as they arrive, and can either stay for their portrait sitting, or have a photo taken and return later to receive their pastel portrait.   The gallery is located at 15 West Mesquite Blvd, Mesquite, NV, and gallery hours are 10am to 4pm.
