Guns & Guitars has its music jam scheduled for 6 p.m. today at its store in the Calais Shopping, 1085 W. Pioneer Blvd.
All music lovers are welcome to come to the store and have some fun. You don’t have to be a rock’n’roll star to be welcome; all you have to have is the desire to be one and appreciation for music and fun.
“Love Letters” continues for the second week at the Mesquite Community Theatre, 150 N. Yucca St. The show is scheduled for Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. Doors open one half hour prior to show time.
This is a must see show which utilizes the talents of both Bunny Wiseman and Paul Benedict to perfection. Ted Ung really engages the audience from the very beginning during his rendition of the opening song, “Love Letters Straight from the Heart.”
City Manager Andy Barton has planned his next community forum at the Highland Manor, 272 Pioneer Blvd. Barton will be on hand from noon to 1 p.m. meeting and greeting the Mesquite residents and is ready to address any and all concerns you may have.
The second annual Senior Appreciation Day Pancake Breakfast, which is hosted by Helping Hands Care Givers, is scheduled Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Mesquite Senior Center, 102 Desert Dr.
The second Mesquite Hot Air Balloon Festival is scheduled for this weekend as well. This was a huge hit with the people of Mesquite last year and for very good reason.
There is something very surreal and quietly beautiful about watching these silent giants floating overhead, especially in a large group; the sight of it has the ability to take your breath away.
Come on out to the CasaBlanca golf course on Saturday and Sunday mornings to watch the beautiful and colorful hot air balloons take flight. Take off is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. but the launch is dependent on weather conditions and times are subject to change without notice.
Saturday evening, there will be a vision to behold when the balloon owners light up several of the beautifully colored, giant balloons in the south parking lot. The balloon glow is such a treat you won’t want to miss this evening event. Balloon owners will be on hand to visit with you and answer any questions you may have about hot air balloons.
