America First Credit Union to Help Consumers Protect Personal Information and De-clutter files with Free Shred Saturday

America First Credit Union (AFCU) invites consumers and businesses to once again take advantage of its free shred day tomorrow, September 15, from 9 a.m. to noon at their Mesquite branch at 590 West Mesquite Blvd.

These events are offered quarterly by America First as a free public service to people who would like to have their private documents shredded, but may not have a safe, efficient way to properly dispose of them.

“We encourage people to take the opportunity to finish their spring cleaning by gathering their old or unused documents and come to one of our four free shredding locations,” said John Lund, executive vice president at America First. “It is a liberating feeling watching these unneeded
documents be shredded. This is a great way to stay organized and evaluate how much personal information is available, so you can have more peace of mind.”
