Nov. 8, 1912: Monday the schools and a goodly number of people went to mesquite to attend the circus. Some of the young folks stayed there for a dance that night.

Nov. 9, 1911: A.J.Barnum, two sons and two daughters, of Mesquite, are visitors at the home of Henry Barnum (Washington County)

Nov. 9, 1910, Bunkerville:  Monday evening S.W.Darling lectured on Republicanism. Ed Cox also gave a short talk, after which the Bunkerville Republicans gave a dance.

Nov. 9, 1910: Election Day passed quietly. A game of ball was played in the afternoon by the town and the school boys: a mixed game.
