Some calls that Mesquite Fire and Rescue receives are not always included in the report, as a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our Fire and Rescue workers do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 54 calls this week:

Sept. 30:

Heart Problem: Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded to a person with a heart problem. Rescue 11 transported one person to the local hospital.

Oct. 1:

Sick Person: Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded for a sick person. Patient transported to hospital.

Patient Transport: Rescue 31 responded to Mesa View Hospital for an BLS transport to Las Vegas Hospital.

Oct. 2:

Stroke (CVA): Rescue 11 and rescue 31 responded to the Beehive for person having a possible stroke; one person transported to local hospital.

Unconscious: Rescues 32 and 11 responded to a report of an unconscious person. One patient was transported to the local hospital.

Chest Pain: Rescues 11 and 31 reponded to a report of someone having chest pain; one patient was transported to the local hospital.

Overdose: Rescue 11 responded to an elderly female for possible overdose. Pt signed out against medical advice.

Oct. 3:

Diabetic: Rescue 32 and rescue 11 called for a person with a diabetic problem. Person denied transport to hospital. Rescue 32 and rescue 11 available.

Patient Transport:  Rescue 31 called for a person requesting transport to another hospital. One person transported to Las vegas area hospital. Rescue 31 available.

Falls: Rescue 31 called for a person requesting for assistance help up off the floor; helped resident off floor. No further assistance needed. Rescue 31 available.

Oct. 4:

Agency Assist: Rescue 32 and Engine 31 responded for an agency assist to Clark County Fire Department on report of an individual who may need to be extricated from his vehicle. Patient suffered a Cardiac Arrest before able to be extricated and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Unconscious: Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded to report of an unconscious person. On arrival Rescue 11 assisted individual into his home. Individual had fallen and onlybneeded assistance. No medical complaints or injuries.

Heart Problem: Rescue 11 responded to report of heart problems. Patient signed out against medical advice.

Oct. 5:

Abdominal Pain: Rescue 11 responded to report of an individual with abdominal pain. One patient was transported to a local hospital.

Falls: Rescue 31 responded for a lift assist. Individual did not have any medical complaints or injuries.

Allergies/Sting: Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded to report of a possible allergic reaction. Rescue 11 transported one patient to a local hospital.

Fire Alarm: Station 1 was dispatched for a fire alarm then cancelled en route by alarm company.

Fire: Engine 31 and Rescue 31 responded to report of a brush fire. Both units worked together to extinguish fire.

MVA with Injury: Rescue 11 responded to a report of an automobile versus pedestrian accident. Transport was refused.

Patient Transport: Station 3 was dispatched for a patient transport from a local hospital to a Las Vegas area hospital on a pshychiatric patient on a legal hold. Due to already having one crew out of town, Beaver Dam Fire Department provided aid and took transport.

Oct. 6:

Chest Pain: Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded to the Detention Center for an inmate complaining of Chest Pain. Patient refused transport.

Assault/Sexual assault: Rescue 31 responed for a person that was assaulted. Patient signed out against medical advice.

MVA with Injury:  Engine 31 responded to an agency assist vehicle accident on I15. Engine 31 cancelled in route by dispatch.

Diabetic: Rescue 12 responded for a person with a diabetic problem. Patient signed out against medical advice.

Heart Problem:  Rescue 11 and Rescue 12 responded for a person with a heart problem. Patient transported to hospital.

Fire Alarm:  Recue 31, Rescue 32, and Engine 31 responded to a fire alarm. No smoke or fire. Alarm set off by rain. Panel reset and system cleared; all units cleared and available.
