Some calls that Mesquite Fire and Rescue receives are not always included in the report, as a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our Fire and Rescue workers do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 49 calls this week:

Oct. 14:
Sick person: Rescue 31 and Rescue 11 responded to a possible sick person. On scene it was found to be a false alarm with no patient.
Unconscious: Rescues 11 and 32 responded to a report of an unconscious person. One patient was transported to the local hospital.
Oct. 15:
Breathing: Rescues 31 and 32 responded to a report of someone experiencing breathing problems. One patient was transported to the local hospital.
Oct. 16:
MVA with Injury: Rescue 11 and Engine 31 responded for a Mutual Aid request by Beaver Dam/Littlefield Fire District for assistance on a multi vehicle collision in AZ.
Mesquite Fire & Rescue transported one patient to a St George area hospital.
Suicidal person: There was a report of a possible suicidal person. PD cancelled request for medical assistance prior to Mesquite Fire & Rescue being dispatched.
Fire Alarm: Rescue 11, Battalion 3, and Engine 31 responded to report of a smoke alarm activation. Smoke detectors were found to be faulty.
Stroke (CVA): Rescue 11 and 32 responded to reports of a person having a possible stroke. One patient was transported to a local hospital.
Cardiac Arrest: Rescue 31 responded to reports of a deceased person. The person was obviously deceased and did not receive medical treatment.
Oct. 17:
Unconscious: Rescue 11 and 32 responded to reports of an unconscious person. One patient was transported to a local hospital.
Stroke (CVA): Rescue 31 and 32 responded to reports of a person possibly having a stroke. Upon arrival, the patient went into cardiac arrest and had a Do Not Resucitate (DNR)
order. The patient was not transported per doctors request.
Heat/Cold: Rescue 11 responded to reports of a person having an environmental cold emergency. One patient was transported to a local hospital.
Fire Alarm: Engine 31, Battalion 3, and Rescue 11 responded to a fire alarm at Wolf Creek Golf Course Clubhouse. A fire alarm malfunction was found to be the cause of the alarm.
Chest Pain: Rescue 31 and 32 responded to reports of a person having chest pain. The patient denied transport to the hospital and signed out Against Medical Advice (AMA).
Chest Pain: Rescue 31 and 32 responded to reports of a person having chest pain. The patient appeared to be having a heart attack and was transported via ambulance to a hospital in Utah.
Choking: Rescue 11 and 32 responded to reports of an unconscious person. One patient was transported to a hospital in Utah per the patients request.
Oct. 18:
Fire Investigation: Battallion 3 responded to reports of a possible fire behind the city shop. Upon investigation, a controlled burn with a permit in process.
MVA with Injury: Rescue 31 responded to reports of a vehicle accident in Arizona. One patient refused transport and signed out Against Medical Advice (AMA).
Oct. 19:
Chest Pain: Rescue 31 and Rescue 32 responded for a person with chest pain. Patient transported to hospital.
Chest Pain: Rescue 11 and Rescue 12 responded to a person with chest pain. Patient transported to St. George with CCT on board.
Heart Problem: Rescue 11 and Rescue 12 were dispatched out for a person having chest pressure. Patient was transported to our local hosptal.
Breathing: Rescue 31 responded to a reported person with difficulty breathing. One person transported to local hospital
Convulsions: Rescue 11 responded to person having a seizure. One patient transported to local hospital
Oct. 20:
Breathing: Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded for a person with breathing difficulty. Patient signed out against medical advice.
Suspicious: Rescue 11 responded for a sick person. Cancelled by dispatch while enroute.
Convulsions: Rescue 11 and Rescue 32 responded to the report of a Seizing female. Patient signed out against medical advice.
Convulsions: Rescue 32 and Batallion 3 responded for a child with seizures. Patient transported to hospital.
Suspicious person: Rescue 31 responded to the report of a man down next to the interstate. Patient signed out against medical advice.
