Some calls that Mesquite Fire and Rescue receives are not always included in the report, as a synopsis is not received. To show the amount of work our Fire and Rescue workers do, we are including a weekly roster of stats. There were 44 calls this week:

Sept. 9: Patient Transport:  Rescue 31 responded to the local hospital for an interfacility patient transport. One patient was transported to a St George area hospital.

Falls: Rescue 11 responded to a report of someone falling and needing assistance. One patient was transported to the local hospital.

Patient transport:  The local hospital requested an interfacility patient transport. Hospital then cancelled the request.

Convulsions:  Rescues 11 and 32 responded to a report of someone having convulsions. One patient was transported to the local hospital.

Fire:  Engine 31 responded to the area of Ronnie way on a report of a tree fire. The inside of a hollowed out tree was found smoking. The tree was filled with water and foam which extinguished the smoldering fire.

Sept. 10:

Convulsions:  Rescues 11 and 32 responded to a report of someone having convulsions. One patient was transported to the local hospital.

Convulsions:  Rescues 11 and 32 were dispatched for a possible seizure. Upon arrival patient was alert and oriented and had no medical complaint. Patient signed AMA.

Patient Transport:  Rescue 31 responded to a local hospital for a patient transport to a Las Vegas area hospital.

Sept. 11:

Vehicle fire:  Rescue 11, Rescue 31, and Engine 31 responded to assist Beaver Dam Fire Department for a vehicle fire just inside of Arizona. Found SUV fully involved in fire. Fire was extinguished, all units returned to Mesquite and back in service.

Diabetic:  Rescue 11 and Rescue 31 were dispatched to assist Mesquite Police Department with an individual with diabetic problems. Both units were canceled in route by police officers.

Abdominal Pain:  Rescue 11 responded to report of an individual with abdominal pain. Patient signed out against medical advice.

Vehicle fire:  Rescue 11, Rescue 31, and Engine 31 responded to report of a piece of heavy equipment on fire. On arrival no smoke or fire was present. Oil Spill was contained and cleaned up by the vehicle owner.

Sept. 13:

Cardiac arrest:  Rescues 11 and 12 responded to a possible cardiac arrest. On arrival patient was found to be deceased.

 

Psychiatric:  Rescue 31 responded to a reported of a person with anxiety. One person was transported to the local hospital.

Sept. 14:

Overdose:  Rescue 11 and engine 31 called for a person who reportedly took pills. One person transported to local hospital. Rescue 11 and engine 31 available.

Unconscious:  Rescue 11 and engine 31 called for an unconscious person. One person transported to local hospital. Rescue 11 and engine 31 available.

Convulsions:  Rescue 11 and Rescue 31 dispatched to a person having convulsions; 1 person was transported to the local hospital.

Sept. 15:

Assault/Sex Assault: l R11 was dispatched to an assault, one patient was transported to the local hospital.

Breathing:  Rescue 11 and Engine 31 dispatched for a patient experiencing shortness of breath, one patient transported to the local hospital.
