Things are buzzing at the Beehive Homes of Mesquite Assisted Care facility

On Friday, August 24 from 1-4 p.m., there will be an Open House with catering by Los Lupes of Mesquite and an official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony by the Mesquite Chamber of Commerce and Mayor Al Litman for their recently completed facility at 780 Second South in Mesquite.

Mr. Gerald Hamilton and Tim Stewart, Owners were so pleased with the success of the first facility they built in 2014, they decided on a 2nd facility across the parking lot from the first one. Focusing on smaller buildings, this concept is geared towards making the transition to senior living more comfortable.

The facility’s decor is done in a beautiful gray, black and white combination.  There are 16 single individual rooms that have a private bathroom with shower benches and hand held shower heads.  Of which, eight of the rooms have already been rented. The atmosphere at the Beehive makes you feel right at home as there is a beautiful dinning room that provides healthy yummy meals, a spacious living area for visitors, group activities or an entertaining movie, a hair salon and a exercise room.  Caregivers are on site 24/7 to assist with personal care.

When you walk through the doors, you smell the home-cooked meals, you see residents enjoying themselves and see the support that staff provides to residents and visitors alike.

Vicki Ramirez who has managed the existing facility since it first opened,  will oversee both facilities as the Administrator. Vicki has worked very hard and diligently to ensure the finest senior residential care in a unique home-like environment. Monica Martinez and Sarah Magruder who have been on staff for awhile will be the House Managers.

We encourage everyone from the community to join us and see for yourself this beautiful facility and what it has to offer the community of Mesquite.  For further information, please call the Mesquite Chamber of Commerce at 702-346-2902.
