I-15 Vehicle Rollover

On Aug 20th at approximately 4:20 AM, Mesquite Fire & Rescue responded to a request for mutual aid to assist Clark County Fire Department on a vehicle rollover involving four patients, on I-15 NB, near mile marker 105. The request was for an Engine and two rescues.

Engine 31, Rescue 31, and Rescue 32 were dispatched to assist. On arrival, an SUV was found resting on its top in the middle of the freeway, with CCFD Rescue 71 attending to four patients, and all North bound lanes closed to traffic.

Mesquite Fire & Rescue treated and transported three of the four patients, which included a six month old infant. CCFD treated and transported one patient. All patients were transported with stable injuries to Mesa View Reginal Hospital. NB freeway lanes were closed for over an hour while crews worked to investigate and clean the scene.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but according to witnesses on scene, the wrecked vehicle may have been struck by another vehicle causing it to lose control and roll.
