Robert “Bob” Potter, 70, passed away at his home in Mesquite, Nevada Sunday, July 15th, 2018.
Bob was born October 9th, 1947 to Edward “Ted” and Lola (Bath) Potter in Soda Springs, Idaho.  He married LeAnna Kay Hughes July 19th, 1969 in St. George, Utah.
Bob was raised in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho and Las Vegas, NV.  He lived all across the United States, but spent most of his adult life in Mesquite.  He was an amazing carpenter, working alongside his dad. He worked on the farm, and was a building inspector in Las Vegas. He was Director of Security at the Oasis Casino for 20 years and was a great friend to all he worked with.
Bob loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren.  He loved to read. He loved sports and trivia. He enjoyed travelling with his wife and family. He loved horses and team roping and especially riding out in the desert.
He will be greatly missed by those he is survived by, his children, Jennifer, Monica and Michael, all of Mesquite, Nevada, and his grandchildren Tony (Lacey), Toby (Stevie), Boady (Vanessa), Riley (Bailen), Micah, Marcus, Mason, Camryn, Jhett and Riann and great-granddaughter Paisley. He is also survived by his mother Lola and sister Sharon.
He was preceded in death by his wife, LeAnn, and father, Ted.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 20th at the LDS Stake Center in Mesquite at 11:00 am with a viewing from 9:30-10:30.  Interment will be at the Mesquite City Cemetery.
